Happy Birthday America

 Happy Birthday America!!!

Over the last couple of months Glenn Beck has had a series on fridays called Founders' Fridays. Regardless of how you feel about him or his politics the shows have been very enlightening. I have learned things about the Founders of this great Nation that I had never know. I learned about their view on God and religion (from their own writtings), I learned how a majority of the Founding Fathers viewed salvery (most were against it). Learning these things has caused a greater appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy.

I am very thankful to all of the men and women that have died in the service of this country and its freedoms. In just a few minutes I will be stepping into church to woship God without any fear of reprimand or death. I have the freedom to choose who and how to worship. I have the freedom to disagree with others, to debate and yet remain respectful of each others beliefs. I have the freedom to live my life the way that I want to (of course being led by the Spirit) without being told how to live my life by the government. All of these freedoms are available becasue someone was willing to pay the price. Someone once said, "Freedom is not free."

Men lost their lives, families and fortunes so that we can have these freedoms.

Whatever it is that you are going to do to celebrate, be with family, fireworks, BBQ, whatever it is, remember why it is you have these freedoms.

   GOD BLESS AMERICA,

    Pastor Tim

Bro Ed,

Good to hear from you. Hope all is well with you and your family. I am sure we will be relying on your input with the Celebrate Recovery program. God Bless

Hey Bro...miss you man...I think about and pray for you often.
Is your number still the one on that City of Refuge card you gave me?
NLBC is starting a Celebrate Recovery Ministry right after labor day.
I'm confident the Lord is going to be transforming lives in this work.
Thanks for being there for me when I really needed someone to talk with...not sure I would have pushed on through without the Lord sending you my way.

Hello to everyone at NLBC - And to Bro. Rick that was asking about the 12 steps, I know them well and I have battled with alcoholism in my life personally, so if you need to talk or advise please dont hesitate to call or write as long as its OK with Pastor Tim. God bless you all.

GOD bless America! I, too, appreciate the sacrifice of so many so that we may enjoy the freedoms we have. Excellent message on Sunday! Thank you for the challenge to live for CHRIST with fervor and determination.
